Kanon ("the app", "we", "us") is a training app that lets you build workout circuits and plans, follow them hands-free, and log your results. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.
We designed Kanon to be offline-first and private by default. You can install and use the entire app — building routines and plans, running workouts, and keeping your history — without an account and without sending any data off your device.
If you never sign in, all of your data — routines, training plans, workout logs, and notes — is stored only on your device, in the app's local database. We do not receive it, and it is not transmitted anywhere. Uninstalling the app removes this data.
Kanon's optional sync feature lets you back up your data and access it across devices. It is entirely opt-in. If you choose to register or sign in, we collect and store on our servers:
That is the complete list. We collect only what is needed to sync the content you create back to you.
Location is collected only while a run is in progress, and only for routines that contain a distance step. It powers the run itself: distance, pace, splits, elevation gain, and the route you covered.
Your profile is private by default. If you make it public, other signed-in Kanon users can see your display name, aggregate training stats, and your routine names and recent workouts (dates only — never the time of day, and never any notes you wrote). No private data (date of birth, height, weight, sex, training notes) is ever shown on a public profile, at any setting. Public profiles are in-app only — there is no web profile page and nothing is indexed. You can switch back to private at any time.
Separately, the private body data above is shared with the AI coach only while you turn that switch on; turning it off stops the coach seeing it without deleting anything.
If you turn it on, Kanon can read heart rate and active calories from Health Connect — for example figures your watch recorded — to display them on a workout you logged.
When the app hits an unexpected error, it sends a diagnostic report so we can fix it. These reports go to our own server, not to a third-party analytics service, and they are used only to find and fix bugs.
A report contains the error message, the point in our code where it happened, your operating system version, and the version of Kanon you are running. Before a report is sent, the app strips out email addresses, passwords, and access tokens. Reports do not include your routines, plans, workout logs, notes, or location.
We use the information above solely to:
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the sync feature you asked for.
kanon.fit domain. All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS.No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
With your permission, Kanon runs a foreground service and shows a notification so the workout timer and audio cues keep running while your screen is off. For a run (a routine with a distance step), a second foreground service keeps location tracking alive so your distance and pace stay accurate with the screen off. Both run only while a workout is active and are used only to run your workout — never for marketing or promotional notifications.
We keep your synced data for as long as your account exists.
You can delete your account from inside the app, at any time: open Settings → Delete account, confirm with your password, and the account is destroyed immediately. There is no waiting period and no recovery.
Deleting your account removes your routines, training plans, workout logs and history, your profile, your crew memberships, comments and reactions, any challenges you created, and your API access tokens. Two things are not removed: crews you own carry on without you, with ownership passing to whoever joined first (a crew with no other members is deleted), and anything you published to the public catalog stays there under your name but is no longer linked to an account. Copies other people made of your routines are their own and are unaffected.
The app also erases its local copy of your data from the device when you delete your account. Uninstalling the app removes local data as well.
If you cannot reach the in-app option, email admin@bware.one and we will delete the account for you.
Kanon is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to export it. To exercise any of these rights, email admin@bware.one.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the sync feature after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
